Sedgwick has a brother Robert Sedgwick, an actor. She attended Friends Seminary in New York City and then she joined Sarah Lawrence College. She also enrolled at the University of Southern California.

Sedgwick started dating actor Kevin Bacon in February 1987, and they tied the knot on September 4, 1988. She gave birth to their first child a son Travis Sedgwick Bacon, an actor, on June 23, 1989, and they welcomed their second child, a daughter Sosie Ruth Bacon, an actress, on March 15, 1992.
Career Information
Kyra started her acting career with Julia Shearer’s role in the television series Another World in 1982, and she made her debut in film with Halina’s role in the film War and Love in 1985. She is very famous for Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson’s role in the television series The Closer from 2005 to 2012, for which she won the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. She also appeared as Donna in the movie Born on the Fourth of July in 1989, and she portrayed Suzie Morales’s role in the film Man on a Ledge in 2012. Sedgwick also starred as Gina Parker Smith in the film Gamer in 2009.
