Katherine Heigl is an American actress and model, also known by her full name Katherine Marie Heigl. She was born in Columbia Hospital for Women, Washington, D.C. on 24 November 1978. She is the daughter of mother Nancy Heigl, a film producer, and father Paul Heigl, an accountant. Heigl has a sister Meg Heigl and three brothers Holt Heigl, Jason Heigl, and John Heigl. She attended New Canaan High School in Connecticut.

Heigl had been in a relationship with actor Joseph Lawrence from 1995 to 1999. She also dated actor Jason Behr from 1999 to 2002. Later, she started a relationship with singer Josh Kelley in 2005, and the couple got married on 23 December 2007. She gave birth to their first child a daughter Nancy Leigh Mi-Eun Kelley in 2008, and they welcomed their second child a daughter Adalaide Marie Hope Kelley in 2012. They have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr, who was born in 2016.

Katherine began her acting career with Kathryn’s role in the film That Night in 1992, and she gained fame for her Isabel Evans’s role in the television series Roswell from 1999 to 2002. She is also known for Dr. Izzie Stevens’s role in the television series Grey’s Anatomy from 2005 to 2010, and which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She starred as Alison Scott in the film Knocked Up in 2007, and she appeared as Sadie Ellis in the television series Doubt in 2017. Heigl portrayed Jane Nichols’s role in the film 27 Dresses in 2008, and she also played a magnificent role as Stephanie Plum in the film One for the Money in 2012.
