Her mother is of Portuguese ancestry while her father is of Dutch, German, French, Scottish, Spanish descent. McKellar has a younger sister Crystal McKellar, is a lawyer, and two half-brothers Christopher McKellar Jr and Connor McKellar. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles.
McKellar began a relationship with composer Mike Verta in 2001, and the couple got married in August 2008. The couple got married on March 22, 2009, in La Jolla, California, and she gave their first child as son Draco Verta on September 7, 2010. The couple split in June 2012 and she filed for divorce and divorced finalized in February 2013.
Danica gained fame for her Winnie Cooper’s role in the television comedy series The Wonder Years from 1988 to 1993, and she also famous for her role as The Quail’s role in the television series Project MC2 since 2015. She began her career with Nola’s role in the television series The Twilight Zone in 1985, and she made debut her career in films with Lauren’s role in the movie Sidekicks in 1992.
