She is the daughter of father Edgar Allen Womack, Jr., who worked as a physicist and an energy company executive, and mother Linda Jane, music teacher. Britton has twin sister Cynthia Womack. She moved to Lynchburg, Virginia with her family, at she was seven years old. She enrolled E.C. Glass High School in Virginia and then she studied at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire. Constance also went to Beijing Normal University and then she joined Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City.
Britton started dating to investment banker John Britton in 1989, and the couple got married on October 5, 1991. The duo divorced in 1995. She adopted a son Eyob Britton in November 2011 from Ethiopia.
Connie is very famous for her Sharon Gaines’s role in the movie Friday Night Lights in 2004, and she also gained fame for her role as Abby Sellers’s role in the movie The Last Winter in 2006. She began her acting career as Molly McMullen’s role in the movie The Brothers McMullen in 1995, and she made debut her career on television as Heather’s role on the television show Ellen in 1995. She starred as Rayna Jaymes’s role in the television series Nashville from 2012 to 2018, and she also portrayed Vivien Harmon’s role in the television series American Horror Story: Murder House (2017) and American Horror Story: Apocalypse (2018). Britton also appeared as Debra Newell in the crime series Dirty John in 2018.
