Electra was an older sister Debbie Patrick (d. 1998) and has four brothers Rod Mark and others. She completed her schooling from Ann Weigel Elementary School and then she went to School for Creative and Performing Arts. She also attended Cincinnati Public School District and graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville. Carmen also enrolled in Barbizon Modeling and Acting School.
Electra began dating to basketball player Dennis Rodman in 1998 and the couple got married on November 14, 1998, at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. The couple ended their marriage in April 1999. Then, she started a relationship with American guitarist Dave Navarro in February 2001, and they got engaged in February 2003. Carmen and Dave got married on November 22, 2003, and the relationship also saw an end on July 17, 2006. She applied for divorce on August 10, 2006, and divorce finalized on February 20, 2007. After that, she was dating American guitarist Rob Patterson in February 2007, and they split in May 2012. She also dated television personality Simon Cowell from 2012 to 2013.

She made debut her career with modeling and she started her acting career as Manager’s role in the television series Erotic Confessions in 1996. She played Sulka’s role in her first film American Vampire in 1997, and she began her singing career with album Carmen Electra, released in 1993. Electra also played a stunning role as Lani McKenzie in the television drama series Baywatch from 1997 to 1998.
