She is the daughter of mother Joanne Brenner, who works at Para Los Niños a non-profit childcare agency, and father Charles Terry Schermerhorn, a musician and freelance entertainment reporter. Her father is of Dutch, English, and Scottish descent, while her mother is of Jewish ancestry. She has an older sister Lauren Schermerhorn, who works as a financial adviser. Brie attended the California Institute of the Arts and she also studied at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Scotland. She also enrolled in South Pasadena High School.
Brie started a relationship with actor Dave Franco in 2012 and the couple got engaged on August 25, 2015. The duo knot on March 13, 2017, in a private ceremony.
Alison is very famous for her role as Annie Edison on television series Community from 2009 to 2015, and she also popular as Trudy Campbell in the film Mad Men from 2007 to 2015. She started her acting career with Alice’s role in the film Stolen Poem in 2004, and she made debut her career on television as Nina on the television series Hannah Montana in 2006. She also starred as Ruth Wilder on the Netflix series GLOW in 2017. Brie briefly worked as a clown at birthday parties. She also provided Princess Unikitty’s voice in the movies The Lego Movie in 2014 and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part in 2019.
