Aishwarya Rai is an Indian actress and model, also known by the name Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, after married Abhishek Bachchan. She was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, India on 1 November 1973. Her Father is Krishnaraj Rai, a Marine biologist, and her mother is Brindya Rai, a writer. She has a brother Aditya Rai, who works as an engineer at Merchant Navy. Rai attended Arya Vidya Mandir Secondary School, Mumbai, and then she went to Jai Hind College. She completed her higher education from The D.G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Matunga, Mumbai, and then she also enrolled at Raheja College of Arts.
Rai had been in a relationship with model Rajeev Mulchandani, and then she began dating actor Salman Khan in 1999. But, the couple split in 2001.
