Cornish has a younger sister Isabelle Cornish, also an actress, and three brothers Jade Cornish, Hayden Cornish, and Zac Cornish.
Cornish began a relationship with American actor Ryan Phillippe in 2007 and the couple ended their relationship in 2010.
Abbie began her career with modeling when she was thirteen, and she is very popular for her role as Heidi in the film Somersault in 2004, and she won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She also gained fame for her role as Fanny Brawne on the in the film Bright Star in 2009, and she played Sweet Pea’s role in the film Sucker Punch in 2011. She made debut her acting career with Simone Summers’s role on the television series Wildside in 1997 and she won the Australian Film Institute Young Actor’s Award for this role. Cornish started her career in films as Mickey Norris’s role in the movie The Monkey’s Mask in 2000.
